2020 has been a year defined by struggle and social distancing, with technology playing an integral role in helping to keep us all connected.
On the 28 December 2020, Hans Ulrich Obrist connected with the c.20:20 artists and curators Ai Weiwei, Cauleen Smith, Elvira Dyangani Ose, Eddie Peake, Anne Imhof, Patti Smith and Josef O'Connor to reflect on the year that was and make a wish for the future. Thank you to all of the speakers, especially the team at Dazed for their continued support.


Support us

CIRCA gives artists a platform to respond to the urgent issues of today. One such issue is the UK’s arts and culture sector which has been one of the areas worst affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

The CIRCA Economy seeks to raise funds through the sale of specially produced prints created by each artist from our programme. These funds help support our initiative and will be circulated back into the UK’s cultural economy to ensure art can flourish and keep bringing us together.

We raised nearly £90,000 for the CIRCA Economy in 2020 thanks to support of our exhibiting artists. In 2021 we will administer and distribute these funds to credible organisations and people who endeavour to sustain the UK’s cultural sector.

Our latest special edition prints for CIRCA are four poems by Patti Smith entitled The Cup (2021). The edition size is dependent on how many are sold during the artist’s month on screen.
