Do you have any memories of Piccadilly Circus?
I moved to London as a student in 2001, never imagining then that the city would be my home of twenty years. I distinctly remember being taken to Piccadilly Circus by my husband (then boyfriend). We bought tickets on a Thames tourist boat tour from Greenwich and walked to Piccadilly Circus from Embankment. As the iconic buses zoomed round the junction, looking up at those ads above Boots, listening to buskers under Anteros, and just being among the bustling crowd was a real ‘pinch me’ moment.
Singin' in the Rain is a 1952 American musical romantic comedy film directed and choreographed by Gene Kelly and Stanley Donen, starring Kelly, Donald O'Connor, and Debbie Reynolds and featuring Jean Hagen, Millard Mitchell and Cyd Charisse.
