CIRCA + Olu Michael Odukoya x 10 questions
Can you tell us a bit more about what OMO Creates is, and the thinking behind Modern Matter?
OLU MICHAWL ODUKOYA:
OMO Creates is named after a washing up liquid used in Africa in the 70s (OMO washing detergent).
We will no longer only record art but engage in the creation of it, because that is how we can be useful. A curatorial platform built from sound, text and image, allowing the audience to engage fully in their senses: to touch, see and hear. Modern Matter bi-annual art magazine exploring art and culture [This has been considered as one of the best art magazines in recent years by art critics].
SPACE, BODY AND TIME by Modern Matter
‘Space, body and time’ the piece darts across locations, explores the body as a vehicle and spans time without limitations. Using film as a medium to story tell, seems apt in these troubled times. A presentation of travel; whilst limitations and freedom of travel continues to hover over us.
